Preparation for my first day of training

Hey everyone, I hope you are as excited as I am about beginning the new school year. I am sure some of the more seasoned educators are having mixed emotions. I know it is hard to let go of the bed, but yes you have to get back into the swing of things. Well, I am officially a part of the local school district. I attended my screening and I have an official school email address. How exciting is that! It has been a long time coming, but I am sure that this will be a school year full of growth and development. I am ready to learn as much as I can about my school, community, students and parents. One of my strong passions other than the children are the parents. I want to develop an impactful advisory board. I really believe that parents have a major influence on their children's future. Parents are their children's first role model, be it negative or positive.

Tomorrow is my first day of training and I am super excited. I am expecting to learn as much as possible. My motto is, "It's about the kids." So whatever it is that I can learn to help the kids, I am WILLING and oh so READY!

I will let you know how training went tomorrow. Happy Counseling!
